The Las Vegas police have confirmed that they will question Portuguese football star, Cristiano Ronaldo over claims he raped a model back in 2009.
It is learnt that the law enforcers aim to quiz the Juventus star about the alleged sexual assault of Kathryn Mayorga, in June 2009. It is not yet sure when his statement will be taken seeing that the footie is currently abroad.
Ms Mayorga initially refused to name her alleged attacker and later agreed to a settlement with Ronaldo for £287,000 in return for not discussing the case.
Since the accusation came to limelight, Cristiano Ronaldo has strongly denied the rape allegation claim saying it is against everything he believes in. However, in fresh woes, it has been alleged that three more women have come forward to claim sexual misconduct on the part of the ex-Manchester United star.
In a show of solidarity, his sister and mother, Katia Aveiro and Dolores Aveiro recently launched a “Justice for CR7” campaign to help his case. His girlfriend Georgina Rodriguez, also posted a statement on Instagram saying the former Manchester United hero was “always able to transform the obstacles” put in his way.
