The United States has assured Nigeria of its support in ensuring free, fair, transparent and credible elections in 2019.
The political officer at the United States Embassy in Nigeria, Mr Philip Franz Seitz, stated this during a visit to the Katsina State Government House on Wednesday.
He also said that the US has not endorsed any candidate in the elections.
Speaking on behalf of the Katsina State Government, the Permanent Secretary of the Government House, Muntari Lawal, described the visit as timely in recognition of the political tempo which he says is gradually picking up in the state.
