Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are visiting Sydney, Australia for their first royal tour as a couple. Fans came out to greet the lovely outside of the Sydney Opera House. While greeting fans, Prince Harry noticed a girl who bore a resemblance to his wife.
The prince called his wife, the Duchess of Sussex, to meet the young girl. The Duchess immediately started a conversation with the young girl who wore a white shirt that said “Girls Can Do Anything” on it.
On meeting the girl, the Duchess told the young girl that she loved her white shirt. One of the onlookers said to the Duchess that the girl looks a bit like her in which Meghan agreed.
Prince Harry took a fan’s phone and snapped a picture of Meghan, the little girl and two other women. Before this incident, the Royals have generally refrained from taking photos with people. After this incident, the couple visited Prince Harry’s 98-year-old friend, Daphne Dunne, who he had met during two of his previous trips to Australia.
The royals arrived in Australia on Sunday and began the first day of their trip meeting with Australia’s Governor-General, Sir Peter Cosgrove, as well as visiting a local zoo. On Monday morning, Kensington Palace announced that they were expecting their first child together while at Admiralty House, Sir Cosgrove gifted couple with a stuffed animal kangaroo.
While in Australia, the Duke and Duchess will partake in honouring the 2018 Invictus Games, which are occurring in Sydney from the 20th of October to the 28th. Prince Harry is expected to hoist the Invictus Games flag at the top of the famous Sydney Harbour Bridge, which officially commences the Games.
Other than Australia, Prince Harry and Meghan will visit Tonga, New Zealand and Fiji.
