Chelsea star player, Eden Hazard has disclosed that he decided to remain in Stamford Bridge because manager, Maurizio Sarri, told him that he wanted him to be one on the ‘best players’ in the world.
Hazard has been heavily linked with a move to Champions League holders, Real Madrid over the past two seasons.
The 27-year-old planned to force Chelsea to sell him to Real Madrid by refusing to sign a contract extension at the Blues.
Giving details of the conversation he had with Sarri that made him not to leave the West London club last summer despite interest from Madrid, Hazard told the Premier League Show: “He [Sarri] just told me that he wanted me to be one of the best players in the world. That’s it.
“And he tried to give me this confidence… and he asked me to score goals.
“When I speak with him he always says, “You can score three goals every game”.
“But you know sometimes he is hard, but I try to do my best.”
Hazard added: “We knew that Sarri was a fantastic manager. He showed to England now that he’s maybe one of the best in the world.
“So at the moment like I say we are playing good, we are scoring goals, creating chances. So it’s good to be here.”
Hazard will hope to lead Sarri’s side to victory when they host Manchester United in the Premier League this weekend.
